So gas is expensive in the city. Well, yeah, but it could be worse. Check out Gas Buddy’s “temperature” gauge of prices across Canada. They also have one for the US. All things considered, we’re lucky here in the GTA.
Gas Buddy also has a whack of other information, from lowest to highest prices in your area to statistics and historical information to gas related news items.

Well we’ve got a long way to go then! Keep them prices rising, maybe we can keep these:

to a minimum.
It’s fantastic, isn’t it? Sure glad I am a public transit taker! (That’s right folks, get rid of your car, you can do it).
What’s also nice is how quiet it is at the cottage this year. No boats, no water-skiing, no jet-skis. Apparently weekend warriors have a price cap on their shenanigans.
Thanks for posting Xavier. You seem like a smart fellow, tell your boss you deserve a raise.
Glad to know I’m not the only person who’s okay with rising gas prices. Once we realize that the way to combat rising oil prices is by fixing our public transit systems and general transportation infrastructure (instead of following the status quo), things will definitely start looking up.
I’m waiting for the day we hit $2 a liter.
Indeed Sir! Thanks for stopping by the blog.
Humans are creative enough to solve any problem if we’d just stop being so spectacularly lazy. Luckily, hitting folks right in the bank account where it hurts seems to motivate them!
Rise gas prices, rise!
You both are nuts!!!! From economical standpoint, if gas prices will hit $2…small businesses will suffer big time! And larger corps will just raise their prices on goods and services due larger costs of logistics! Car manufactures will suffer dramatically! Especially, north american car manufactures, which are in deep sh*t as it is rignt now! Higher gas prices meens less things that we (middle class) can afford and lost jobs! So keep on waiting for that day! The day when Canadian economy will go to hell….we all would have to move to Alberta to make a decent living!
This prices are bad. People are tired of this … Look here, why do you think this thread shut up that fast? http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/636770 $59 per barrel – $1 per liter, last year $100 per barrel still 1$. I think to myself how cool would it be if I my wages got doubled instantly. Oil companies liked last summer a lot. And let’s face it, gas still will be used for a while.
